Delta Hockey Academy White (3) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (4/OT) U15
It was a dream start for Delta White on home ice, racking up a three goal lead a tad over five minutes into play, capped off by Jayden Ni’s division leading 33rd goal of the campaign. CIHA’s Tomas Figura would stop the bleeding with a powerplay goal shortly after while Carson Hohman restored hope late in the frame, scoring with 7-seconds left on the clock. In the second, Jase Morey (1G, 1A) would get one through, tying things up at three. The third would end as a stalemate as CIHA’s Taylor Green (38/41) and Delta White’s Cohen Wood (23/27) each remained perfect. Overtime was needed and around halfway through, Luke Van Waes would carve himself a path down main street before roofing a backhand over Wood to secure CIHA the comeback victory. Green also made a formidable 38-stops in the win, stopping 26-shots in the final two periods alone.
King Heights Academy (1) vs Fort Erie International Academy (4) East U18
The first almost ended as it started off but a late goal from leading scorer Vytas Lenkutis propelled King Heights into the lead before the ice clean. Things would remain dormant in the second but a tying goal from Riley Cave (2G) would keep Fort Erie in this contest. FEIA would continue to press in the third as Cave would net his second of the morning. Ethan Butler (2G) would add another two for FEIA, enough to close out this game 4-1.
St. George’s School (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (7) U15
In his first game with RHA Kelowna, Harlan Grimsdell notched his first career CSSHL goal to give RHA Kelowna the go ahead lead. However, St. George’s would rally back in the second with a quick pair of goals from Luca Rogers and Minsoo Lee. RHA Kelowna would restore their lead with another two goals late in the second, the go ahead goal coming off the stick of Cooper de Wal (1G, 1A). Hudson Lesk (1G, 1A) would bring the Saints back into contention with a powerplay goal in the third, but RHA Kelowna’s consistent offence kept them at bay. RHA Kelowna would outscore St. George’s 4-2 in the final frame, making way for a comfortable victory on Friday.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (6) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U15
Following a scoreless first, Coeur d’Alene and PCHA would find themselves swapping goals early in the middle frame, but a strong finish from CDA put them ahead by three through forty. In the third, Gage Stoltz (2G) and Maxwell Stevens (2G) each snagged their second goals of the afternoon en route to a clean victory over PCHA. Liam Janulewicz (24/26) stopped 24-shots in the win.
BWC Academy (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U15
Prairie was cooking early, snatching up two goals in quick succession to ignite the first. Deklan Street and Tristan Reimer would score only 57-seconds apart. Come the second, BWC Academy would deliver some push back as Ryder Bui (2G) was able to sneak one through to cut the deficit in half. Bui would also get things started in the third, scoring on the powerplay to tie things up and spark a comeback. Rhys McFarlane’s first of the season would give BWC Academy their first lead of the afternoon while Eric Prexler provided the insurance marker. BWC Academy would go on to take this contest with Tyson Oake (20/22) getting credit for the win between the pipes.
STAR Hockey Academy (4) vs North Shore Warriors (2) U15
STAR and NSW would trade goals continuously through the first half of this contest. Cohen Waite’s (1G, 1A) shorthanded tally midway through the second brought things back to even and looked to sway momentum in the Warriors’ favour. However, Seve Paladino (2G) would go on to score on that same STAR powerplay, restoring their lead. Paladino would go on to add another late in the second to cement STAR’s lead. STAR would hold on to this lead in the third with Henry Price (25/27) getting credit for the W in goal.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) U17
NAX and RHA Winnipeg each opened the scoring with power play goals. However, NAX would break the ice on even strength after Chace Smith (1G, 1A) and Seth Kshyk (2G, 1A) restored their lead. Ryder Lilly would capitalise on a penalty shot early in the second to give RHA Winnipeg a fighting chance at a comeback, but another two goals from NAX in the frame kept this one out of reach as Braeden Malenchak’s eighth of the season would stand as the game winning goal.Ìý
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) Female U18 Prep
An early pair from Shayla Scinocca and Sydney Stibbard (1G, 2A) set the tone for RHA Winnipeg in their Friday affair with NAX. Brynn Evans (2G, 1A) would open the scoring in the second, giving her goals in her last four straight games. Adriana Duna’s (1G, 1A) first of the season would restore RHA Winnipeg’s two goal lead. Before the end of the second, Elise Slywka (2G) would get one back for NAX. The scoring would swing back and forth in the third. Payton Chornley’s (1G, 1A) goal would go on to stand as the game winner while Shea Warnick (1G, 2A) provided the insurance marker.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U15 Prep
A dominant first from NAX gave them the lead through twenty, outshooting OHA Edmonton 14-5 in the process. Milestone, SK’s Riley Brown had the go ahead tally. Come the second, OHA Edmonton’s powerplay would come through as Micah Montgomery tied things up with his ninth of the season. NAX would once again outshoot OHA Edmonton in the frame but the strong play from Gavin Steeves (40/41) kept OHA Edmonton alive. 37-seconds into the third, Chayse Fedoriuk (2G) would strike on the powerplay for OHA Edmonton, giving them their first lead of the contest. Steeves would go on to make another 14-saves in the third to back OHA Edmonton to victory as they upset the number one seeded Northern Alberta Xtreme, beating them for the first time in six meetings this season and handing them their second loss of the regular season.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Wenatchee established a 3-0 lead through twenty with a pair of late goals from Aidan Yu (2G, 1A) to stretch their advantage. Coeur d’Alene would wake up in the second defensively, holding the Wild off the scoresheet and recording their first goal of the game, thanks to Dylan Johnson. Come the third, everything was coming together for CDA as they tapped home another four unanswered to propel themselves into the lead. A pair of goals from Akira Ota (2G, 1A) sparked this sudden change of events. Sal Costa’s (1G, 1A) fifth goal would go on to stand as the GWG as Dublin McGuire (1G, 2A) chipped in late as part of a late surge from Wenatchee.
Delta Hockey Academy (3) vs BWC Academy (5) U17
Delta got the ball rolling early, scoring 61-seconds in and expanding on that lead shortly after. However, a late push from BWC Academy kept things knotted up through twenty minutes of play. Come the second, another quick pair of goals from BWC Academy flipped the script. Jacob Napoleon (1G, 1A) and Jaxen McFegan’s goals would prove costly going into the third as Delta threw a staggering 23-shots on goal in the frame. Liam Kellett (47/50) stood tall, steering 22 of those shots aside, ultimately racking up 47-saves on the afternoon in part of a huge win for BWC Academy.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (1) vs Edge School (3) U15
2025’s first CSSHL Featured Game saw Delta Hockey Academy Black (19-2-0-1) take on the number one seeded Edge School (20-1-0-0). Through the opening twenty, Edge School was all over Delta Black. However the magnificent goaltending of Luc Wilson-Kurenoff (42/45) kept things scoreless. Wilson-Kurenoff would keep Delta Black alive in the second as his team got into penalty trouble, making a handful of key saves on a four minute kill. Part way into the man advantage, Edge School would finally catch a break as Beckham Monette (2G) wired home his seventh of the season. Just 24-seconds later, James Butterwick would benefit off a strong forecheck and quickly double Edge School’s lead. Edge would go on to add another in quick succession after a Delta Black error behind their cage. Bentley Gillis would get Delta Black on the board just after falling back three, giving his team a bit of life for the third. However, Edge School would maintain their dominance in the third, not giving Delta Black an inch to work with. Hudson Andrews (16/17) picked up the win in goal while Wilson Kurenoff made 42-saves in the hard fought loss.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Academy (0) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U15
Following a scoreless first, OHA Edmonton would find themselves on the board thanks to the efforts of Marek Pashko. OHA Edmonton would hold on to this lead into the third, steering everything OHA threw at them aside. Jiseong Kim would pot the empty netter en route to the 2-0 victory which saw Connor Phillips (27/27) stand on his head for 27-stops.
Yale Hockey Academy (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) U15
Kaleb Newson (2G) got Yale on the board first in a tight matchup with the Northern Alberta Xtreme. Newson would expand on Yale’s lead in the second, nabbing his second of the afternoon. Emmett Abel would get one back for NAX later in the frame but would be quickly followed up by Yale’s Mykah Cormier. No scoring would take place in the third as Yale’s Logan Hwang (38/39) shut the door for 38-saves against NAX’s fierce offence.
OHA Edmonton (4) vs Balmoral Hall School (3) Female U18 Prep
OHA Edmonton’s special teams would go to work after a quiet first period, scoring once on the powerplay and once shorthanded to spark a 2-0 lead. Madeline McKay (2G, 1A) would get one back for Balmoral Hall before the end of the frame. Early in the third, Balmoral Hall would keep the pressure coming as Makenna Williment (1G, 1A) nabbed a shorthanded goal of her own to tie things up. McKay would soon after score the go ahead goal for Balmoral Hall. However, Sophia Contant would quickly tie things back up for OHA Edmonton. Later in the frame, Joryn Hempel would come in as the hero, coming off a five-point performance on Thursday. Hempel’s seventh of the season would go on to stand as the game winner, fending off the potential Balmoral Hall comeback.Ìý
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) U17 Prep
NAX scored six straight en route to a 9-3 win Friday afternoon. Affiliate Brady Ondrus (2G) and Jackson Tetreault (2G) each scored twice while Asher Halliday (1G, 3A) led all skaters with four points. Quinn Bouchard, Mason Moran and Logan Penston scored for CIHA in the loss. Cam Hoose (34/37) made 34 saves for his fifth win of the season.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy Black (3) vs North Shore Warriors (4) Female U18 Prep
A power play tally late in the first by Jaylah Bottle gave North Shore the opening goal of the game. Lily Zohner (1G, 1A) added another North Shore power play goal 2:07 into the second. Abigail Jung (1G, 1A) got Delta Black on the board 4:07 later with her ninth goal of the season. Kaida Okamura restored the two goal cushion 10 minutes later. Haley Waugh (1G, 2A) brought Delta Black within one just 18 seconds into the third period. Brielle Banton and Claire Cheyne would trade goals 1:23 apart as it remained a one goal game. Haylie Hedges (35/38) prevented Delta Black from finding an equaliser, and secured the North Shore victory. Sonja Reed (41/45) made 41 saves for Delta Black in the loss.Ìý
Notre Dame (4/SO) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U15 Prep
Joey Jackson opened the scoring with a shorthanded marker 12:05 into the game and Lukas Lundgren added an even strength marker 1:55 later as Notre Dame held a 2-0 lead. Grayson Speirs would get RHA Winnipeg on the board and within one late in the period before Jack Carter and Cohen Hlady traded goals in the second. Maddex Mason scored the lone third period marker, 2:01 into the final frame, to tie the game and force an eventual shootout. In the shootout Ben Meyer (36/39) stopped all three RHA Winnipeg shooters and Jackson scored the lone Notre Dame goal in the second round to give his team a 4-3 win.Ìý
BWC Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3/OT) U17 Prep
After a scoreless first period Lucas Fenrich and Adrien Comeau scored less than six minutes apart early in the second to put Yale ahead 2-0. Marshall Lyons finally broke through for BWC Academy, beating Jason Ho (37/39) 3:24 into the third. Oleksii Zhekov would tie the game with 1:14 remaining, scoring his 15th of the season to force overtime. Yale would rally to stop the comeback attempt as Gavin Selinger scored 1:02 into the extra frame to give his team a 3-2 win.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Alexandre Jacques (1G, 1A) opened the scoring late in the first with an unassisted goal, his ninth of the season for Yale. Cruz Waltze tied the game just 1:00 into the second with an unassisted goal of his own. Yale would have a quick response as Jacques set up defenseman Kyounghun Oh (1G, 2A) for his fourth of the season 2:36 later. Evan Markel added a power play goal to double the lead going into the third. In the third, Jacob Dumansky (1G, 1A) and Matthew Dowdall (1G, 1A) scored 10 seconds apart to put the game well out of reach. Nathan Kam (23/24) and Greyson Moroz (36/41) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (1) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U17
Bode Lund scored just 19 seconds in as CDA raced out to a 1-0 lead. Cooper Vogt (1G, 1A) tied the game on the power play five minutes later. The OHA power play struck again midway through the second as defenseman Luke Edgehouse hit double digit goals on the season. Morgan Hyndman (45/47) would keep his team in the game the rest of the way but CDA was unable to beat Alex Youngson (16/17) again to level the score.Ìý
St. George’s School (10) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U15 Prep
St. George’s outshot Shawnigan 70-27 en route to a 10-1 win Friday evening. Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (3G, 2A) recorded a hat-trick and led all skaters with five points in the win. Adam Benn (2G) and Bradey Ching (2G, 2A) each scored twice, while Nathaniel Moore (1G, 2A) and Quinn Pickering (1G, 2A) each had two assists in the win. Darwin Ketch scored shorthanded midway through the third to end the Kole Anderosov (26/27) shutout bid.Ìý
North Shore Warriors (3) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) U17
Both teams scored power play goals in the first with James Koch (2G) scoring for North Shore and Lukas Needham countering for PCHA 3:17 later. Dexter Spring gave PCHA their first lead 1:56 into the second period before the North Shore power play struck twice more with Koch and Noah Russo putting their team ahead going into the third. Kaelen Rusjan (1G, 1A) tied the game 6:21 into the third and Blake Sanderson scored the game winner 6:23 later as Pacific Coast earned the come-from-behind win. Eliott Horner (27/30) made 27 saves for the win.Ìý
Indigenous Sports Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Hudson Albert (2G) and Ryker Klassen traded goals less than three minutes apart as the two teams were level after 20. Albert restored the ISA lead 1:57 into the second and a Cruz Bear (1G, 1A) shorthanded marker doubled the lead 4:03 into the middle frame. Madden Wright would get one back for SAHA 3:40 later as they trailed heading into the final period. In the third, Henry Duesing would even the score 1:38 in. Duesing would find himself in the penalty box midway through the period but Aidan Poulin would score shorthanded for SAHA to give them the lead. Kutcher Aquila would add another SAHA shorthanded marker in the final minute to secure the win.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Academy (0) vs Shawnigan Lake School (2) Female U18 Prep
Alix Walchuk (19/19) outduelled Jorja Moore (31/33) for her second shutout of the season, backstopping Shawnigan to a 2-0 win. All the offence came in the first period as Taya Lonsdale (1G, 1A) scored the eventual game winner just 3:49 in. Esme LiChong added an insurance marker less than 10 minutes into the game before the two teams played 50 minutes of scoreless action. Cassandra Kehler (2A) had two assists for Shawnigan in the win.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
Ethan Kitchen (1G, 1A) opened the scoring for Delta just 27 seconds in with his sixth goal of the season. Cooper Giarraputo tied the game midway through the first with a power play marker. Peter Banicevic (2G) and Brady Oatman put Delta ahead going into the second with goals 1:04 apart late in the first. Banicevic would score again in the middle frame to put Delta ahead 4-1. Defenseman Charlie Leonard (1G, 1A) scored on the power play 2:28 into the third as the Delta lead continued to grow. Talon Scinocca would halt the Delta run less than three minutes later but that was as close as OHA got as Quinn Coupland (24/26) made 24 saves for Delta in the win. Maddox Slater (47/52) faced 52 shots in the loss.Ìý
North Shore Warriors (3) vs BWC Academy (5) U15 Prep
North Shore (1-13-6) looked to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season as goals from Riley Taylor (1G, 1A) and Brandon Sue gave them a 2-0 lead after 20 over BWC Academy (19-3-1). But BWC Academy would prove to be too much as Liam Bordt (1G, 2A) and Kane Nicholas scored 43 seconds apart to tie the game and Kenzo Gibson (2G) put them ahead late in the second. George Gapeshin would double the lead 12 seconds into the third with a power play marker. William Thompson would bring North Shore back within one with a power play goal but Gibson secured the victory late in the period in a game that saw BWC Academy outshoot North Shore 67-23. Bentley Edgar (20/23) and Elias Mitrikas (62/67) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U17 Prep
A dominant first period saw RHA Kelowna outshoot PCHA 15-5 while getting goals from Joshua Johnstone, Maddox Bentley, and Preston Kelly-Paquet (1G, 2A). Porter Rossi (1G, 1A) and Ronin Marin scored power play goals 1:01 apart early in the second as RHA Kelowna held a commanding 5-0 lead. Francesco Ruffolo got PCHA on the board late in the second period, beating Asher Netherton (14/15) with 1:19 left on the clock. Nate MacPhee rounded out the scoring with his 13th of the season midway through the final period. Ander Reyes (33/39) faced 39 shots in the loss.
